Referred to as the Texans, we were the first Texas Chapter, established in members, many of
whom belong to one or more  chapters in the region. We draw most of our members from
East and Southeast Texas, but hold musters in various locations to accommodate the wide
spread membership. We are most active in the fall through the spring and offer camaraderie
to the SMART winter Texans.

Along with the Lone Star Chapter we have adopted the William R. Courtney Texas State
Veterans Home as part of our "Veterans Helping Veterans" program. Helping those who
defended our country and now live on memories in their twilight years is very important to
us. Recently we voted to include "The Fisher House" at Ft. Hood to our charitable efforts. We
also help play "Santa" to children of our active duty soldiers at Ft. Hood, who well as other
information, can be found on this website.  Contact with the chapter president/officers can
be made by telephone using information from this website. Our Recruiting /Retention liaison
is: Jay Maust, (phone) 210-590-3380 or jjrw2@aol.com for further information.
